Auersbach is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Mürzzuschlag in the district of Bruck-Mürzzuschlag in Styria . The village has 128 inhabitants (January 1, 2020).

Auersbach was part of the former community of Ganz until the end of 2014 . As part of the municipal structural reform in Styria , Ganz was merged with the municipality of Mürzzuschlag on January 1, 2015 . The basis for this was the Styrian Municipal Structural Reform Act - StGsrG.

The Rotte is located south of Mürzzuschlag on the northern slope of the Fischbach Alps between the Amundsenhöhe ( 1666  m above sea level ) and the Stuhleck ( 1782  m above sea level ). Parts of the Pretul wind farm are located on the northern slope of the Pretulalpe .

history

The earliest written evidence is from 1333 and is "Awersbach". The name goes back to Slavic Avorъ (maple).

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 46 building areas with 34,124 m² and 31 gardens on 34,915 m² in the cadastral community Auersbach , in 1989/1990 there were 44 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 100 and in 2009/2010 there were 85 buildings on 133 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 189 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 717 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 179 hectares and 716 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 161 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 711 hectares. The average soil climate in Auersbach is 24 (as of 2010).
