Full was until the end of 2014 an independent municipality with 346 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2014) in the Steiermark ( judicial district Mürzzuschlag and political Bruck-Mürzzuschlag District ). As part of the municipal structural reform in Styria , Ganz was merged with the municipality of Mürzzuschlag on January 1, 2015 . The basis for this was the Styrian Municipal Structural Reform Act - StGsrG. A challenge to the merger, which the municipality of Ganz brought to the Constitutional Court , was unsuccessful.

A few weeks before the unsuccessfully fought implementation of the consolidation of the municipalities, the municipality of Ganz decided to release financial reserves and paid grants of up to 2,800 euros to more than 140 municipality citizens. In order to clarify the legality of the grants, a regulatory process was initiated and further disbursements were stopped. The public prosecutor's office in Leoben has been investigating since December 2014. There are suspicions of infidelity and abuse of office. The estimated amount of damage is around 300,000 euros. Due to the intervention of the community supervision out of solidarity with the mayor and the community councils, the grants were almost entirely transferred back to the community.

The place Ganz consists of the following five cadastral communities:

  • Auersbach (60502),
  • Eichhorntal (60503),
  • Whole (60507),
  • Lambach (60511) and
  • Schöneben-Ganz (60520).

The local area is divided into two parts, Ganz – Schöneben – Auersbach and Lambach – Eichhorntal, as the villages up to Gutenbrunn out of the valley were incorporated into Mürzzuschlag on the valley floor . The municipal office of Ganz is also located in Mürzzuschlag.

It is completely surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mürzzuschlag , Spital am Semmering , Rettenegg , Ratten , Langenwang and chapels .

Mayor was Andreas Rinnhofer ( ÖVP ) until December 31, 2014 .

The municipal council consisted of the following parties: 7 ÖVP, 1 SPÖ and 1 FPÖ .
