location

The monument erected in 1877 is located in the "Waldemeine" part of the Bad Salzufler district of Wüsten , around one kilometer south of the desert town center.

With the incorporation of Wüstens into Bad Salzuflen and the allocation of street names, the former property “Unterwüsten No. 36” was given the new address “Auf der Heide 75”.

The building is a four-column house on a natural stone base with brick infill . Its gable roof is covered with red hollow pans, the gable triangle protrudes on profiled beam heads and is boarded up with vertical formwork.
The gate posts are decorated with a flower tendril relief and the gate arches with a star and wheel. The archway inscription of the farmhouse reads:

“IN THE YEAR 1877, AUGUST 3TH, HEINRICH STUCKMANN HAVE HIS SON SIMON STUCKMANN THIS HOUSE BUILT.
WHO TRUSTED GOD WELL-BUILT IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH WHO RELIES ON JESUM
CHRIST MUST BECOME HEAVEN. M. U.GÖHNER " 00000000000000000000000

Inside, a high ceiling with brick flooring. The stud ceiling beam construction is provided with single curved headbands for stiffening . On both sides of the Deele, the spatial structures with storage rooms above the stables, so-called Hillen, have been preserved. The stairs to the Hillen are on the left wall of the Deelen. Behind the later built half-timbered shear wall is the living area with three rooms, the middle one being provided with a reinforced concrete ceiling and the left having a basement.

monument

The farmhouse is important for the development of agricultural work and production conditions in the city of Bad Salzuflen, especially in the Wüsten district, because it documents the adherence to the traditional farmhouse type in a time in which the greater separation from working with the Animal husbandry and living takes place. There is a public interest in the preservation and use according to § 2.1 DSchG NW for scientific, in particular local historical reasons, because here on the one hand the continued existence of the traditional construction method is documented and on the other hand it becomes clear how the settlement in deserts was still in the late 19th century Century condensed. Housekeeping reasons are given because this building shows the state of the woodworking technology of the 1870s. Folklore reasons are also given for the public interest in preservation, because the object testifies to the custom of putting inscriptions above the gate.
