The city council took Salzuflen - after a typhoid fever - epidemic in the summer of 1899 - on 23. January 1900 the decision to a central water supply build for Salzuflen. The engineer Leithäuser then worked out the documents for the use of the "Meier sources". The “Thiesmeierschen and Meierschen springs”, built around 1909, poured 49,000 liters per hour in 1913.

The "collecting tank pump III" is a quarry stone building erected on a rectangular floor plan with a crooked hip roof , clay tile roofing and an axially arranged entrance door with an arched arch . To the left and right of the door there is a small window, above the door an inscription stone “ Wasserwerk Salzuflen ” and above that a centrally arranged sprouted window. In the rear area of ​​the earth there is a circular earth container vaulted around the center.
