Bleich and Pfärrle together represent one of the 42 statistical city districts of Augsburg and belong to the overarching planning area inner city . On December 31, 2013, around 3,800 people lived in the 56.3 hectare district.
geography
The city district - starting in the west and then following clockwise - is bordered by Frauentor-, Thomm- and Stadtbachstraße, the banks of the Lech , Bert-Brecht-Straße, Untere Graben and Äußere Pfaffengässchen. Bleich und Pfärrle is the northernmost district in the inner city planning area.
Demographics
On December 31, 2013, a total of 3,838 people lived in the Bleich and Pfärrle district, of whom 1,897 were male and 1,941 female - this corresponds to a proportion of women of 50.57 percent. The factory premises of the paper manufacturer UPM-Kymmene occupy the entire east of the borough . The Finnish company took over the Haindl paper mill there in 2001 .
