History: Bahnhof Ausschlag-Zöbern

The reception building

The Wechselbahn was built by the Austrian-Hungarian state until 1910 in order to break the monopoly of the private Southern Railway Company . The train station for Ausschlag and Zöbern was built here not far from the Aspanger white earth opencast mine, which has been in operation since 1856, is now the Aspanger Mining and Mineral Works . Since then the settlement has emerged.

The kaolin plant had a connecting line, which has since been closed. The reception building of the station is a listed building .
