Axel Fuhrmann

Axel Fuhrmann (born April 7, 1962 in Solingen-Ohligs ) is an author , director and producer of documentaries and music recordings .

Career

Fuhrmann studied musicology , linguistics and marketing at the Saarland University .

From 1989 to 2001 he was a writer and producer of feature broadcasts, reports, features and audio art program, presenter of live broadcasts and program adviser to the wave SR2 Kulturradio of Saarland Radio . During this time he also produced other radio programs within the ARD .

From 1993 to 2001 he worked at the same time at SR Fernsehen Südwest, where, in addition to reports and magazine articles, he also produced documentaries as well as opera and concert recordings. From 2001 to 2003 he was project manager for international documentary co-production and development as well as executive producer at ZDF Enterprises GmbH.

In 2003 he moved to Provobis GmbH Hamburg, then in 2004 as a producer for merkur.tv GmbH Bonn, a subsidiary of the Rheinischer Merkur publishing group. From 2009 to 2010 he was managing director of merkur.tv GmbH Bonn. Since 2011 Fuhrmann has been the managing partner of the film and television production company "DokFabrik", which he founded.

Since the 2019/2020 winter semester, he has been teaching documentary film in the design department at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau.
