from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2015/2016 Badminton Bundesliga season was the 45th season of the Badminton Bundesliga . There were nine teams at the start. The first three teams in the league played for the championship title in the play-offs.

The table eighth of the previous year PTSV Rosenheim had already announced its withdrawal before the end of the preseason. The champions of the 2nd Bundesliga South (1st BC Bischmisheim 2) were not eligible for promotion as the second team. The champions of the 2nd Bundesliga North, FC Langenfeld, and the runner-up in the 2nd Bundesliga South, SV Fischbach, waived promotion. Thus, the third place in the 2nd Bundesliga, SG Anspach, returned to the 1st Bundesliga. The ninth place SV Fun-Ball Dortelweil decided not to stay in the 1st Bundesliga. The tenth place in the preseason TSV Neuhausen-Nymphenburg remained as the ninth participant in the 1st Badminton Bundesliga.
