Badminton Bundesliga 2010/11

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2010/2011 Badminton Bundesliga season was the 40th season of the Badminton Bundesliga . It started with eight teams. SG EBT Berlin became German champion. Since the 1st Bundesliga was increased to 10 teams after the season, none was relegated this season. The respective champions of the 2nd Bundesliga North and South rose. A novelty this season is the shortening of the games from eight to six games. Games were also played on Tuesday this season.

Main round

In the main round, which is divided into a round trip, all teams met twice on the basis of a game plan set before the season; once in your own hall and once in the opponent's hall. The winner of each game received two points; in the event of a tie, both teams received one point each.

Playoff round

Following the main round, the German champion was determined in a playoff round, with the second meeting the third of the main round in the semifinals. The winner then played against the first of the main round in the final. The team that was placed higher in the table had home rights.
