Badminton Bundesliga 2001/02

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2001/2002 Bundesliga badminton season consisted of a preliminary round in "everyone against everyone" with a return game. In the play-off round, the 1st and 4th as well as the 2nd and 3rd competed against each other in a return match. The winners of the two games determined the German champions, also in a return leg. The champions were SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen . The newcomer BV RW Wesel and SG Anspach had to relegate , as the Bundesliga was again reduced from 9 to 8 teams in the following year. GW Wiesbaden also withdrew its team from the Bundesliga after the season.
