Badminton Bundesliga 2009/10

The 2009/2010 Badminton Bundesliga season was the 39th season of the Badminton Bundesliga . It started with eight teams. The champions of the season was the 1st BC Bischmisheim, who was German team champion for the fifth time in a row. The relegated team of the 2009/10 season was FC Langenfeld, who withdrew their first team from the Bundesliga shortly before the end of the main round.

mode

Main round

In the main round, which is divided into a round-trip round, all teams meet twice on the basis of a game plan set before the season; once on their own seat and once on that of the opponent. The winner of each game receives two points; in the event of a tie, both teams receive one point each.

Playoff / -down round

Following the main round, the German champions will be determined in a playoff round, where in the semi-finals the first of the main round meets fourth and the second meets third. The two winners of the semifinals contest the playoff final.

The playdown round is canceled, as the relegated team has already been determined with FC Langenfeld.

In the promotion round, the first two places in the 2nd Bundesliga North and South play the promoted team in the 1st Bundesliga in a return leg.

In the promotion games, the first-placed players in the 2nd Bundesliga North and South met each other in a return game. The PTSV Rosenheim narrowly prevailed against BV Mülheim.
