The 2013/2014 Badminton Bundesliga season was the 43rd season of the Badminton Bundesliga . Ten teams were at the start. The first three teams in the league played for the championship title in the play-offs. The championship was for the first time the SC Union 08 Lüdinghausen . The last two teams were supposed to be relegated, but due to the withdrawal of EBT Berlin and the waiver of the first-placed teams in the 2nd Bundesliga North, all other teams remained in the 1st Bundesliga. The champions of the 2nd Bundesliga South, TSV Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, rose to Germany's top division for the first time at the end of the season.

Main round

In the main round, which is divided into a round trip, all teams met twice on the basis of a game plan set before the season; once in your own hall and once in the opponent's hall. The winner of each game received two points; in the event of a tie, both teams received one point each.

Playoff round

Following the main round, the German champions were determined in a playoff round, with the second against the third of the main round in the semifinals. The winner then played against the first of the main round in the final. The team that was placed higher in the main round table had home rights.
