Badminton Bundesliga 1997/98

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1997/98 Bundesliga badminton season consisted of a preliminary round in the "everyone against everyone" mode with a round trip and a play-off or play-down round. In the play-off round, the 1st and 4th as well as the 2nd and 3rd competed against each other. The winners of the two games determined the German champions, also in a return leg. The champions were SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen , who defeated PSV Grün-Weiß Wiesbaden in the finals. The last placed VfB Friedrichshafen had to relegate and for economic reasons after nine years of membership in the Bundesliga of SSV Heiligenwald .
