The 2017 Badminton World Cup took place in Glasgow , Scotland , from August 21-27, 2017 . Glasgow hosted the World Cup for the second time after 1997. It was the 23rd edition of a badminton world championship of the world association BWF .

Award of the event

The event was awarded on November 14, 2014 in Lima . At the same event, the Sudirman Cup 2017 (after Gold Coast ) was awarded. Lima has also been confirmed to host the 2015 World Junior Badminton Championships .
