history

The Würzburg – Ansbach line already existed in front of the station building. It was opened on July 1, 1864. The station was built from 1862 to the end of 1864. Thus it was connected to the line in 1865. The station building is a three-storey hipped roof building with low side wings, quarry stone building with house stone integration and a tooth-cut frieze in brick. In November 1873 the route to Rothenburg ob der Tauber followed . In 1898 the connection to the line to Neustadt an der Aisch followed.
