The 1993 Oceania Basketball Championship , the sixth Women's Oceania Basketball Championship , was held between June 7 and 10, 1993 in Auckland , New Zealand , which was the third time the championship was held. The winner was the host who won the title for the first time. It was the first time since the tournament was founded that a team other than Australia won the tournament. In the series, Western Samoa , which took part in the tournament for the first time, was beaten 3-0 wins. The defending champions Australia did not take part in the tournament.
