The 2009 Women's Oceania Basketball Championship , the thirteenth Women's Oceania Basketball Championship , took place between August 31 and September 2, 2009 in Canberra , Australia and Dunedin , New Zealand . For the first time, both countries hosted the championship together. The winner was the team from Australia , which could win the title for the twelfth time. In the series, New Zealand was clearly beaten 2-0. Since the series was decided after the second game, game three was omitted.
