Beatrix Palt

Beatrix Palt (née Zahn ; born February 25, 1968 in Hamburg ) is a German educational scientist , management consultant and reserve officer . Since 2009 she has been professor of general business administration , in particular organization and project management at the FOM University of Economics & Management in Hamburg.

Life and accomplishments

Palt in 1968 grew up in a bilingual family bilingually on. After graduating from high school in 1986 at the Catholic Sophie-Barat-Schule in Hamburg-Rotherbaum , she began teaching at the University of Hamburg (elementary, secondary and secondary school), which she completed in 1995 with the state examination and in 1996 with the Magister Artium . She was a research assistant at the professorship of the educational policy researcher Lutz Rainer Reuter at the Department of Education at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg . At the end of the 1990s she also published articles from the field of education in the in-house series . In 2001 she received her doctorate in education with the dissertation Modernization Processes in the Spanish and Portuguese School System between 1974/75 and 2000 . The reviewers of their work were Arnulf von Scheliha , Rainer Kluwe and Annette Scheunpflug .

In addition to her doctorate, she worked as a freelance project manager and communication trainer as well as a technical consultant for the family magazine familie & co of the Axel Springer publishing house . From 2001 to 2003 she worked as a department head at the IT consultant Gauss Interprise Consulting / evodion Information Technologies . In 2003 she founded Beatrix Palt Projektmanagement , a management consultancy that goes by the name of Dr. Palt Projektmanagement operates. The company was incorporated into the INP Institute for Sustainable Project Management . Since 2007 she has been the director and owner of INP, which advises companies and administrations. According to its own information, the service provider supports in the areas of sustainable project management, organizational development , change management and turnaround management. INP cooperates with several organizations in Hamburg; it is a member of Hanse-Aerospace, Hamburg Aviation and the Federal German Working Group for Environmentally Conscious Management (BAUM).

Palt was a lecturer at universities in Germany and abroad, so she worked at the chair for general pedagogy (Annette Scheunpflug) at the faculty of human sciences at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg . In 2009 she was given a full-time professorship for general business administration , in particular organization and project management, at the state-recognized FOM University of Economics & Management in Hamburg. Her main research interests are in the areas of organizational education and adult education .

She was a member of the Association of Women in Management and the Association of German Scientists as well as a consultant to the expert advisory network at the University of Hamburg. From 2011 she was Chair of the Technical Advisory Board of the Club of Rome Schools. In addition, she became a member of the Board of Trustees of the Sustainability Dialogue Forum at Sparda-Bank Hamburg . 2013–2019, Palt was a member of the supervisory board (from 2014 chairwoman) of BAUM Zukunftsgenossenschaft eG (formerly BAUM Zukunftsfonds eG). In the Association of Business Associations in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein , she is represented on the structural policy committee. She is a member of the Hamburg regional association of the CDU Economic Council, in whose commission ITK Communication and Information Technology she was appointed; she was also a federal delegate. 2015–2017 she was a member of the advisory board of the Clausewitz Society in Hamburg. In 2017 she was head of the Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein section of Deutsche Wehrtechnik eV According to her own statements, she is also a member of BAUM

In the Bundeswehr she has held the rank of frigate captain of the reserve since 2013 ; she advises on organizational and personnel development issues.

Palt is married and has one child.
