The around 70 hectare berry bush is a nature reserve in the Oder-Spree district in Brandenburg . It is located east of Fürstenwalde and thus also belongs to the Fürstenwalde city forest.

The near-natural common oak-hornbeam and alder forests are particularly worthy of protection . The berry bush is also a refuge for rare native plant species such as the lead-leaved sitter or the white forest hyacinth. The stag beetle can also be found.

Attractions

Worth seeing are the remains of the so-called King Pine, which later Emperor Wilhelm I . (who used it as a stand for a drive hunt ) was so popular that he wanted to move it to his Babelsberg Park in Potsdam . In addition, a forest adventure trail leads through the berry bush, which provides interesting information about the forest through individual stations.
