The 86th Tour of Belgium in 2016 was a Belgian road bike race . The stage race took place from May 25th to 29th, 2016 . It was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2016 and classified in the 2nd HC category.

The third stage was neutralized after two support motorcycles got into the peloton in a collision and brought down 20 riders. The 26-year-old cyclist Stig Broeckx suffered cerebral hemorrhage as a result of this fall and fell into a coma . The race started again on the fourth stage without Broeckx 'Team Lotto Soudal . The overall winner was the Belgian Dries Devenyns ahead of the Swiss Reto Hollenstein and his compatriot Stijn Vandenbergh .
