Bernard Marie Fansaka Biniama
Bernard Marie Fansaka Biniama (born June 29, 1959 in Misay , Bandundu Province ) is a Congolese Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Popokabaka .
Life
Bernard Marie Fansaka Biniama attended the St. Charles Lwanga Minor Seminary in Katende . From 1980 to 1983 he studied philosophy at the interdiocesan seminary of St. Augustin in Kalonda and from 1983 to 1987 Catholic theology at the interdiocesan seminary of St. Cyprien in Kikwit . Fansaka Biniama received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Kenge on February 21, 1988 .
Bernard Marie Fansaka Biniama taught at the St. Charles Lwanga Small Seminary in Katende until 1991 , before continuing his studies at the Facultés Catholiques de Kinshasa . In 1994 Fansaka Biniama obtained a licentiate in Biblical Theology . He then taught at the St. Cyprien Interdiocesan Seminary in Kikwit. 2001 Bernard Marie Fansaka Biniama been at the Université Catholique d'Afrique Centrale in Yaounde in specialist biblical theology doctorate . From 2003 to 2016, Bernard Marie Fansaka Biniama was pastor of the Notre Dame du Rosaire parish in Bandundu . In addition, he founded the Center des Etudes Ethnologiques et Sociologiques de Bandundu (CEESBA) in 2003 and became its director. In addition, from 2006 he was the moderator of the diocesan clergy and from 2008 secretary of the Political and Social Commission of the Assembly of Bishops of the Kinshasa Province . In 2018, Bernard Marie Fansaka Biniama became a trainer at the St. Augustin Interdiocesan Seminary in Kalonda.
On June 29, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Popokabaka. The Archbishop of Kinshasa, Fridolin Cardinal Ambongo Besungu OFMCap , gave him on 23 August of that year before the Cathedral Sainte-Famille in Popokabaka the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop Emeritus of Kinshasa, Laurent Cardinal Monsengwo Pasinya , and the Bishop of Kenge, Jean-Pierre Kwambamba Masi .
