Louis Nzala Kianza

Louis Nzala Kianza (born February 6, 1946 in Kiamfu Kia Nzadi ) is a Congolese Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop emeritus of Popokabaka .

Life

Louis Nzala Kianza attended the Collège Ntemo in Kasongo . He received on 25 August 1972, the sacrament of Holy Orders . Nzala Kianza graduated from the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium with a degree in social sciences .

On April 22, 1996, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Popokabaka. The Apostolic Nuncio in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Archbishop Faustino Sainz Muñoz , donated him episcopal ordination on July 14 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Kinshasa , Cardinal Frédéric Etsou-Nzabi-Bamungwabi CICM , and the Bishop of Kikwit , Edouard Mununu Kasiala OSCO .

On June 29, 2020, Pope Francis accepted Louis Nzala Kianza’s resignation.
