The district of Mons is one of seven districts (arrondissements) in the Belgian province of Hainaut . It covers an area of 583.99 km² with 258,999 inhabitants ( as of January 1, 2019 ) in 13 municipalities.
In addition to its administrative municipalities, the judicial district of Mons also includes the municipalities of Brugelette and Chièvres of the Ath district and all the municipalities of the Soignies district with the exception of Lessines .
