The Dendermonde district is one of six districts (arrondissements) in the Belgian province of East Flanders . It covers an area of ​​342.47 km² with 201,213 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) in ten municipalities.

It is both an administrative and a judicial district. The judicial district also includes all communities in the Sint-Niklaas district and, with the exception of Geraardsbergen , Herzele , Sint-Lievens-Houtem and Zottegem, all communities belonging to the Aalst district.
