Birth is a western part of Velbert in the Mettmann district . It lies on the city limits of Heiligenhaus-Hetterscheidt and is separated from Velbert-Mitte by the federal motorway 44 . The Rinderbach flows north of the district and is called Vogelsangbach from the Abtskücher pond (Heiligenhaus) .
