The Roman Catholic Diocese of Jaboticabal ( Latin Dioecesis Iaboticaballensis , Portuguese Diocese de Jaboticabal ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Jaboticabal in the state of São Paulo .
history
The diocese Jaboticabal was on January 15, 1929 by Pope Pius XI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Sollicitudo omnium from cessions of territory of the diocese of São Carlos do Pinhal and subordinated to the archbishopric of São Paulo as a suffragan . On April 19, 1958, the diocese of Jaboticabal was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Ribeirão Preto as a suffragan. The diocese of Jaboticabal gave on April 14, 1973 parts of its territory to establish the diocese of Barretos . Another assignment of territory took place on February 9, 2000 to establish the diocese of Catanduva .
