The diocese of São Luíz de Cáceres ( Latin Dioecesis Sancti Aloisii de Caceres ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Cáceres in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso .
The diocese is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Cuiabá and was founded on April 5, 1910. In 1925 the Amazonas diocese , later the Porto Velho prelature , was spun off; In 1929 the Guajará-Mirim prelature was spun off .
