The Roman Catholic Diocese of San Carlos de Bariloche ( Latin Dioecesis Sancti Caroli Vurilocensis , Spanish diócesis de San Carlos de Bariloche ) is one in Argentina situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in San Carlos de Bariloche .

It was established on July 22, 1993 by Pope John Paul II with the papal bull In hac beati from cessions of territory of the diocese of Viedma and subordinated to the archdiocese of Bahía Blanca as a suffragan diocese.

The diocese of San Carlos de Bariloche includes the departments of Bariloche , Ñorquincó and Pilcaniyeu located in the province of Río Negro .

The diocese patrons are Our Lady of the Snow and Saint Charles Borromeo .
