The Diocese of Zárate-Campana ( Latin Dioecesis Zaratensis-Campanensis , Spanish diócesis de Zárate-Campana ) is in Argentina situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Campana .

history

The diocese Zárate-Campana was on March 27, 1976 by Pope Paul VI. built with the papal bull Qui divino Concilio from cessions of territory of the dioceses of San Isidro and San Nicolás de los Arroyos . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of La Plata as a suffragan .

On October 4, 2019, Pope Francis subordinated the diocese to the Archdiocese of Mercedes-Luján, which was made a metropolitan seat on the same date, as a suffragan.
