Bitty Schram

Bitty Schram (* 17th July 1968 in New York City , New York as Elizabeth Schram ) is an American actress .

Life

She graduated from the University of Maryland . Before she was discovered for television, the trained stage actress played successfully on Broadway , a. a. in Laughter On The 23rd Floor by Neil Simon .

Schram had her first film role in 1992 in the comedy A Class of Its Own with Geena Davis and Tom Hanks . She then starred in films like Days Like This with Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney and Marvin's Daughters .

She also made guest appearances on the television series Felicity , Roswell and Strong Medicine: Two Doctors Like Fire and Ice . She gained fame with the role of Sharona Fleming in the television series Monk , for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2004. In 2005, Schram had to leave the series during the filming of the third season due to a higher fee demand and was replaced by Traylor Howard . Nevertheless, in 2009 she had another appearance in the last season of Monk in her role as Sharona Fleming .
