history

The Lords of Bliensbach, a lower noble family , are mentioned in 1173. They were based on the Buchsberg , 500 meters southeast of the parish church. The von Zusameck gentlemen are named as their successors at the end of the 13th century . From them the place came to the patrician family of the Langenmantel in Augsburg and then to other Augsburg families. From 1378 until the secularization of 1802/03, the Augsburg cathedral chapter was majority owned by the manor , which was administered by the Obervogtamt Zusamaltheim . The Augsburg monasteries St. Katharina and Hl. Kreuz as well as the Martin Foundation in Augsburg were also wealthy in the place.
