Blues'n'jazz (Rapperswil-Jona)
The music festival blues'n'jazz rapperswil-jona takes place every year in June on the shores of Lake Zurich in Rapperswil-Jona SG .
During the two-day event (Friday, Sunday), 18 concerts are given each year on three stages on the Fischmarktplatz, Curtiplatz and on the Kapuzinerzipfel. On the Thursday before the festival, hosts in the old town, local and regional musicians and the organizer Carré Event AG have been holding a warm-up since 2015. Admission to these concerts in Rapperswil restaurants is free. Together with the festival organizer, the Evangelical Reformed Parish of Rapperswil-Jona and the Catholic Church in Rapperswil-Jona organize an ecumenical service with a gospel concert (Curtiplatz stage) on the Sunday morning after the festival .
The blues'n'jazz rapperswil-jona was first held in 1999. The event, which is known throughout Switzerland and abroad, attracts up to 20,000 visitors every year; in the best of times it was up to 35,000 a year.
