Bobocasse ( Bobocasae , Bobocase ) is an East Timorese suco in the Pante Macassar administrative office ( Oe-Cusse Ambeno special administrative region ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Bobocasse had an area of ​​14.99 km². Now it is 32.80 km². The Suco is located in the center of the Pante Macassar administrative office. To the north and east is the Suco Costa , south Naimeco , west Cunha and northwest Lalisuc . The river Bussi flows through the southeast and later follows the border with Naimeco as the Abanal . The Abanal flows into the Tono on the western border . A small waterfall offers itself as a tourist attraction.

The villages of Bimelo , Oelole and Nuslao are located on the north bank of the Abanal . Other places in Suco are Bihala , Netenoke , Oenino and Eonae . There is a primary school in Bihala, the Escola Primaria Bihala .

In the Suco are the two Aldeia Bihala and Fatubijae .

Residents

The Suco has 2693 inhabitants (2015), of which 1397 are men and 1296 women. The population density is 82.1 inhabitants / km². There are 505 households in the Suco. Almost 100% of the residents name Baikeno as their mother tongue.

history

During the unrest following the independence referendum in East Timor in 1999 , members of the pro-Indonesian militia Sakunar burned down all the houses in Bobocasse on September 23, 1999. The residents lost all their possessions including their harvest supplies.

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was marculino Tafin elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Virgilio de Deus .
