Bruce Becker (born January 22, 1988 in Berlin ) is a former German ice hockey player . Bruce Becker has been an ice hockey referee since 2018 .
Career
Bruce Becker began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the Eisbären Juniors Berlin , for which he was active in the German youth league from 2003 to 2006 . At the same time, the center made his debut for the first team of the Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the major league in the 2005/06 season , in which he was a regular for the Juniors in the following two years. He also played in a game for the Eisbären Berlin in the German Ice Hockey League in the 2006/07 season .
From 2008 to 2010 Becker was under contract with REV Bremerhaven in the 2nd Bundesliga . He then switched to league rivals Dresdner Eislöwen for the 2010/11 season , where he was under contract until 2015 and proved to be a combative and team-friendly player. Becker started the 2015/16 season at EHC Bayreuth in the major league before moving to ETC Crimmitschau in the DEL2. He completed the 2016/17 season at EHC Schönheide .
Bruce Becker directs as since 2018 Hockey referee matches in the German ice hockey leagues.
International
For Germany , Becker took part in the 2006 U18 World Junior Championship . In the course of the tournament he remained pointless in six games and received eight penalty minutes.
