Bruno Wansierski

Bruno Wansierski (born August 5, 1904 in Oliva , Danziger Höhe district , † July 30, 1994 in Klein Rogahn ) was a German political officer ( SED ) and vice admiral of the GDR's National People's Army .

Life

The son of a farm laborer learned to be a carpenter after attending primary school. After the apprenticeship he worked in his profession. In 1922 he became a member of the KJVD and in 1923 the KPD . From 1940 to 1945 he did military service in the Wehrmacht , most recently as a soldier in the naval weather service. At the end of the war he was briefly a Soviet prisoner of war.

From 1945 to 1946 he worked as a carpenter at VdgB in Seehof . As a result of the land reform , he became a Neubauer in Seehof in 1946 and worked as such until 1949. In April 1946 he became a member of the SED and in 1949 a party official. In 1949/50 he was initially cultural director of the MAS in Wickendorf (Schwerin), in 1950 department head of the SED district leadership in Schwerin and in 1950/51 district administrator in Ludwigslust . From 1951 to 1952 he was the first secretary of the SED-KL Güstrow .

On July 7, 1952, he joined the DVP / KVP and became an instructor in the Political Department of the VP-See. From 1953 to 1954 he was the head of the political department of the NCO School of the VP-See in Parow. In 1954 he was promoted to Korvettenkapitän and in 1954/55 was head of the political department of the Naval Officer Training Institute of the VP-See in Stralsund. From 1955 to 1956 he studied at the Political Officer School in Berlin-Treptow.

Then began his work in the apparatus of the Central Committee of the SED . From November 1, 1956, he worked initially as an instructor and from 1958 as head of the NVA sector in the department for security issues of the Central Committee of the SED. Wansierski was promoted to frigate captain in 1959 and from December 1959 to December 1960 he was acting head of the department, when its head Walter Borning attended the Friedrich Engels Military Academy for a year . He was then promoted to sea captain. From 1960 to 1976 he was deputy head of this Central Committee department. On March 1, 1963, he was appointed Rear Admiral and promoted to Vice Admiral on March 1, 1971. In 1972 he became a member of the control group of the NVR of the GDR . He was retired on January 31, 1976. Wansierski first lived in Zeuthen , then in Klein Rogahn near Schwerin.
