Bryan Burk

Bryan Burk (born December 30, 1968 ) is an American film and television producer .

Life

After graduating from the USC School of Cinema-Television , Burk began working with a variety of producers including Brad Weston from Columbia Pictures , Ned Tanen from Sony Pictures, and John Davis from Fox . In 1995 he went to Gerber Pictures , where he developed the Emmy Award- nominated show James Dean .

Together with JJ Abrams , Burk produced various television series such as Alias , Six Degrees , What About Brian and Lost . Also with Abrams, he produced the 2008 film Cloverfield and the eleventh Star Trek movie Star Trek , which was released in 2009. For the final fifth season of the FBI's Fringe mystery series , Burk worked again in 2012 at the side of J. H. Wyman and J. J. Abrams. This was followed by other joint projects, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens from 2015.
