The castle Naumburg , formerly Nuwenburc called, is an Outbound hilltop castle on a mountain peak at 338  meters above sea level. NN southwest above the old town on the ridge of the castle grove in the small town of Naumburg in the Kassel district in Hesse .

The Nuwenburc , although only mentioned in the sources in 1182, was probably built as early as the beginning of the 12th century by the local noble family of Naumburg . It was destroyed around 1170 and finally by fire in 1626. The castle stable today only contains small remains of walls and moats .
