Burgstemmen coat of arms
Blazon : "Two silver bars on a blue shield , the upper one covered with three and the lower one with two red heraldic roses with green calyx tips and golden stamens."
Justification of the coat of arms: The coat of arms is derived from that of the medieval counts of Poppenburg , who died out in 1270. Initially, the family has only one bar with three roses in the coat of arms, later two with three roses at the top and two roses at the bottom. This form is based on the municipal coat of arms of Burgstemmen. Burgstemmen is the village of the Hintersassen of the Poppenburg counts, which developed favorably during the Middle Ages under the protection of the castle.
