Location of Burkersdorf in Saxony

Burkersdorf is a part of the municipality of Reinsberg belonging to the village of Bieberstein in the district of central Saxony (Free State of Saxony ). He was incorporated into Bieberstein on July 1, 1950, with whom he came to the Reinsberg community on March 1, 1994.

history

Burkersdorf was mentioned in 1350 as "Burkhartstorf". The manorial rule over the place lay with the manor Bieberstein . In 1349 it was divided between the two Bieberstein estates. Until 1836, Burkersdorf belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon District Office of Meißen . The place was in the extreme southwest of the office, the Freiberger Mulde formed the border to the office Nossen . From 1836 Burkersdorf briefly belonged to the Freiberg district office . In 1856 Burkersdorf was affiliated to the Nossen court office and in 1875 to the Meißen administration . The neighboring town of Gotthelffriedrichsgrund was incorporated on October 1, 1934.

The incorporation of the community Burkersdorf with its district after Bieberstein took place on July 1st 1950. Through the second district reform in the GDR , Burkersdorf came as a district of Bieberstein in 1952 to the district of Freiberg in the district of Chemnitz (renamed the district of Karl-Marx-Stadt in 1953 ) , which was continued as the Saxon district of Freiberg from 1990 . On March 1, 1994, the community of Bieberstein with its districts Burkersdorf and Gotthelffriedrichsgrund was incorporated into Reinsberg. Since then it has been one of five localities in the municipality of Reinsberg. Burkersdorf has been part of the Central Saxony district since 2008.
