Canala is a municipality on the east coast of New Caledonia between Thio and Kouaoua . The parish was previously called Napoléonville . The municipalities are: Nakéty, Ema (Canala), Haouli (?), Koh, Négropo and Ouassé.

The highest point in Canala is Mont Nakada with 1134 m.

There is a small airport.
