Carlstadt Border Hussar Regiment

The regiment was a cavalry association that was established in 1746 as the Carlstadt hussars for the imperial Habsburg army . In 1769 the regiment was placed in the cavalry ranking under Cavalry Regiment No. 40 and dissolved again in 1780. The following numbering was subsequently introduced for the system: 1746/1 (to Ticino ), Grenzhusarenregiment HI (to Bleckwenn ).

The border regiments did not use the name of a regiment owner (if one existed), but a regional designation.
