Carlton is a small town (with the status " City ") and the administrative center of the Carlton County in eastern US -amerikanischen state of Minnesota . In 2010 Carlton had 862 residents.

Carlton is located on Thomson Reservoir and the Saint Louis River which flows through this lake . The city is located at 46 ° 39'50 "north latitude and 92 ° 25'30" west longitude and extends over 5.88 km².
