Carolin Lehrieder (born April 21, 1989 ) is a German triathlete . She is included in the best list of German triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Carolin Lehrieder was active in basketball in her youth and has been running triathlons since 2007. Her father Gerald Lehrieder is also active as a triathlete. She is trained by Faris Al-Sultan .

At her first start on the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) the teacher trainee was able to win the Ironman Germany in the age group 18-24 in 2013 and thus won a place at the Ironman Hawaii ( Ironman World Championships), where they finished third in the age group in October.

In August 2016 she was third at Ironman Sweden .
In September 2019, the 30-year-old won the Ironman Italy and set a new course record with her winning time of 8:48:23 hours, a personal best in the long distance.

Carolin Lehrieder lives in Würzburg .
