Carolin Reiber
Carolin Reiber (born November 2, 1940 in Munich ) is a German television announcer and presenter .
Life
The daughter of the production designer Ludwig Reiber played a small supporting role in The Double Lottchen in 1950 when she was ten . In 1956, Carolin Reiber appeared in GW Pabst's last film, Durch die Wälder, durch die Auen . In 1958 she appeared in public as the youngest Munich carnival princess of the Narrhalla . After training as a foreign language correspondent, she practiced this profession until 1965.
After that, Carolin Reiber became a full-time TV announcer at Bayerischer Rundfunk . From 1970 she presented the programs " Jetzt red i ", " Unser Land " and "Lustige Musikanten" together with Maxl Graf on Bavarian television . The magazine Carolins Fleckerlteppich named after her ran on Bavarian television from 1984 to 1993, and Carolin Reiber presented the follow-up show Bayerntour until it was discontinued in 2016. In 1993 she also took over the moderation for the quiz " The Great Price " on ZDF for a short time , but without real success, which led to the series being temporarily discontinued.
For many years she presented the “Folk Hit Parade” (1990–2001, 125 episodes) for ZDF and later the “Folk Music Request Concert” (2002–2004) and together with Karl Moik and Sepp Trütsch from 1986 to 1999 the Grand Prix of Folk Music . Reiber also moderated some cookery programs that focused on Bavarian dishes .
She became known not least because of her accentuated Bavarian rolling tongue tip R.
She was married to the management consultant Luitpold Maier from 1962 until his death on January 26, 2014. The couple has two sons.
