Case Swedish Open 2009

The Case Swedish Open 2009 took place from February 3rd to 8th, 2009 in Linköping , Sweden . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2008/09 and endowed with $ 60,000.

Defending champion was James Willstrop , who reached the semifinals that year. Tournament winner was Nick Matthew after his final opponent Karim Darwish could not play for the final due to injury. This was Matthew's first win in the tournament.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Badr Abdel Aziz a spot in the main draw.
