UCS Swedish Open 2016

The UCS Swedish Open 2016 took place from February 4th to 7th, 2016 in Linköping , Sweden . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2015/16 and belonged to the PSA 70 category .

Last year's winner Nick Matthew did not take part again. In the final, Karim Abdel Gawad prevailed against Tarek Momen with 12:10, 8:11, 11: 9, 3:11 and 11: 4.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard received Rasmus Hult a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 70,000.
