UCS Swedish Open 2018

The UCS Swedish Open 2018 took place from February 8th to 11th, 2018 in Linköping , Sweden . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2017/18 and belonged to the PSA 70 category .

Last year's winner was world number one Grégory Gaultier , who canceled his participation due to an injury. Ali Farag prevailed in the final against Simon Rösner with 11: 7, 6:11, 11: 3 and 11: 5.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Rasmus Hult a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 70,000.
