Casey Short (born August 23, 1990 ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with the Chicago Red Stars in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2016 season .

Career

During her studies at Florida State University , Short played for the Florida State Seminoles university team there from 2008 to 2012 , and for the W-League participant Chicago Red Eleven in 2009 . In early 2013, she was committed to fifth place by the Boston Breakers in the college draft of the newly formed NWSL in the first round . In the course of the season, Short was just as little used due to injury as in the following year in the Chicago Red Stars franchise .

She then moved to the Norwegian first division club Avaldsnes IL for the 2015 season , where she was on the pitch in all season games and was runner-up behind Lillestrøm SK Kvinner . For the 2016 season , Short returned to the Chicago Red Stars.

National team

With the U-20 national team of the United States Short took part in the U-20 World Cup 2010 in Germany and failed there with her team in the quarter-finals in the selection of Nigeria. In 2013 she came to her only appearance in the United States U-23 national team.

On October 19, 2016 Short made his debut in a friendly against Switzerland in the senior team of the United States.
