Lists on the subject |
The Ch-25 ( Russian Х-25 , NATO code name AS-10 Karen ) is a supersonic , tactical air-to-surface missile made by the Soviet Union.
development
Development began in the Zvezda state design office in the late 1960s. The problematic Ch-66 was to be replaced with the Ch-25 . The first attempts at shooting were made in 1973. The system was introduced to the Russian Air Force in 1976. The anti-radar missile Ch-25P was also created on the basis of the Ch-25 . The Ch-25 is the Russian equivalent of the American AGM-65 Maverick .
technology
The Ch-25 has a modular structure and consists of the following components: seeker head, SUR-73 autopilot, warhead and PRD-228 rocket motor . There are different models of the seeker head and the warhead that can be combined with the remaining components. There is the 140 kg F-27 fragmentation warhead and the 90 kg F25 multi-purpose warhead with penetration and fragmentation effects . A tandem warhead, consisting of a pre-hollow charge and a fragmentation warhead, has existed since 2010 . This serves to combat concrete structures in bunkers. The pre- hollow charge can penetrate 1 m of reinforced concrete . The fragmentation warhead follows through the opening and detonates inside the building. Thanks to its modular structure, the Ch-25 can be used against a wide range of tactical targets such as armored vehicles , air defense , ships , transport facilities, traffic systems and bunkered systems. The Ch-25 has been continuously adapted and improved to reflect the current threat situation.
The scattering circle radius ( CEP ) of the Ch-25 is 1.5–9 m, depending on the version and shooting distance. The Ch-25 can be launched at an altitude of 30–12,000 m and at speeds of 200–1,250 km / h. The minimum shooting distance is 2–2.5 km, depending on the version. The missiles can be used by the AAP-68 , AAP-68UM , AAP-68-85 launch rails and the universal launch rail APU-68U .
