Charly Klauser (full name Charlotte Klauser; born July 16, 1990 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German musician , multi-instrumentalist , singer-songwriter and producer . In addition to her work as a solo artist, she is active in various formations as a background singer , instrumentalist and songwriter, among others with Peter Maffay , Sasha and Carolin Kebekus .

Live and act

Charly Klauser comes from a family of musicians who moved to Kazakhstan . She received piano and violin lessons from the age of two and played in a children's orchestra at the age of three. She took part in the Jugend musiziert competition several times with the violin , and in 1999 she won first place. At the same time, she completed several composition competitions with compositions for piano and string quartet.

In 2005 she founded the jazz duo Cold Fusion and, together with her sister, the all-girl alternative rock band The Black Sheep . At the age of 17, she signed a record deal for the band with Roadrunner Records and appeared with the band as support for In Extremo , Silbermond , Sunrise Avenue , Social Distortion and Life of Agony . At the same time, she won the WDR Jazz Prize with Cold Fusion in 2005 and produced an album in the Deutschlandfunk studio .

As a background singer, she worked for Sasha , Tim Bendzko and Peter Maffay . From 2012 she became an integral part of Maffay's band, accompanied his Tabaluga tour as a singer, dancer and actress and has been touring all over Germany with Maffay since then. In 2019 she wrote the single Für Immer Jung for him for the album Jetzt!

In 2013 she acted as a drummer in the show band of Carolin Kebekus' TV show at Einsfestival . In 2015 she became part of the Girls´N´Pussys , the show band of the show PussyTerror TV , as a drummer , the first and second season with Klauser on drums were broadcast on TV in 2015 and 2016 and recorded on DVD.

Klauser appeared on television as a guest musician for Natalia Kills at Schlag den Raab (2011), at Wetten dass , at Markus Lanz and ECHO (2014), with Nina Hagen and a short acoustic song on the sofa of the Ultimate RTL Chart Show (2014) and at the Kölner Treff (2019). As an actress, she made a guest appearance in the children's series Schloss Einstein in 2012 . In 2013, she appeared in the ZDF series Heartbreaker with The Black Sheep . In 2014 she participated in the TV show Keep Your Light Shining .

In 2014, together with drummer and sound designer Simon Scheibel , she founded the sound design company Ohrenkunst, which took on orders for Bentley, Hyatt and Google , for Google with a presentation of four interactive games on the largest screen in the world in New York's Times Square with music and sounds of ear art . Since 2014 she has also been a drummer in the band Rockemarieche .

In 2016 she and Alyssa Drichel were part of the new line-up for the cover project Resaid , which reinterpreted hits from well-known girl and boy bands in acoustic guise on their album Boys & Girls .

Klauser has also been pursuing her solo project since 2017. In 2018 the EP Complicated Life was released, where she took on all functions as singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer in the production.
